Sometimes, saving money is more of taking a look at the little things that you can do each day and then adding up these savings for considerable impact. Here are some easy ways to save.

Pay attention to the little non-essentials
This is a given and nothing really new, to be honest. I have published several posts on this point. That cup of latte you have in the morning can end up costing you hundreds of pounds at the end of the year. That glass or two of mixed drinks that you have after work each will do the same. Try to take a look at the non-essentials in your life and then cut back on them to make considerable savings in the long-term.
Go to work earlier
How can this save you? If you go to work earlier with the approval of your boss, of course the assumption is that you can go home earlier as well. For some people, this can make a huge difference if they have children that they have to leave at the daycare while they are at work. If the arrangement is that one spouse takes care of getting the kids to wherever they need to be in the morning and the other spouse goes home earlier to take care of the kids, maybe an hour or two from the daycare can be saved. This could again, amount to tidy savings.
Arrange automatic savings
Not all banks have this arrangement but if yours does, you might as well benefit from each visit to the ATM. How so? Some people tend to withdraw cash from the ATM every so often. What happens is that they take out several pounds now and then more later and more tomorrow and so on. As a result, they do not really keep track of how much they spend. A good thing to do would be to make arrangements such that every time you withdraw from the ATM, a small amount will be transferred to your savings account. It does not have to be big just enough so that you will be more aware of your withdrawals and lessen them AND even if you do withdraw, youll get some money into your savings.

Cheap thrills
Learn to enjoy these things. Having fun does not mean that you have to spend tons of money. Just this past weekend, we opted to visit a university fair instead of going to the shopping center and watching a movie. We had tons of fun we hadnt been in a school fair for years and we did not spend that much money. Everyone has his own version of cheap thrills.
